Flexile Watch Information

Flexile Sentry is a boss in Dark Souls 2. flexile_sentry.png Fought below the deck of a ship, this boss is a conjoined warrior with one one-half wielding scimitars and the other spiked clubs. Attacks rapidly and with speed. The dominate will rotate one warrior to confront the actor and attack with that one, then randomly change to the other side to attack with a different style. Have note that when fighting this boss the room volition make full slowly with water simply only to the waist. This does impede movement a bit just non to a critical point you tin can even so ringlet and motility nearly the same speed.

You tin can discover the Flexile Sentinel below the deck of the pirate send that activates after progressing through the level to pull a lever at the far end of the surface area. Only go along up through the buildings and through the long darkdweller mobs (a torch is handy here.) until you achieve the illuminated platform with the lever.
When fought on NG+ and beyond, 2 additional enemies will spawn as before long as the fight begins, they attack quickly, strike hard and aggressively equally well as having Ring of Thorns but have low wellness and should be killed immediately.

The Flexile Sentry is a merciless animal whose purpose is to punish the Undead. This terrifying, lizard-like creature oversees the ferrying of undead into the Lost Bastille.

  • Flexile Watch Soul, Awestone

NPC Summons

Lucatiel of Mirrah can be summoned for this fight, provided the player exhausted her dialogue at the No Man's Wharf blaze. Her summon sign is located merely behind the shortcut gate midway through the area. (SotFS) Bradley of The Old Guard is also available to summon (as a shade) near the new short cut bridge.

Strategy Tips

  • Be very careful while dodging towards the boss. You lot may stop upwards in front of the other knight who can pull out a fast swing immediately. It is much easier to deal with the dominate when it'due south using the Spiked Order side just, as information technology'south attacks are much slower and more predictable.
Too, don't take your time when fighting him and attempt to terminate him chop-chop - the room volition start flooding with water until y'all are near chest-deep in it! This volition make movement/dodging/etc. extremely difficult and give the dominate a great advantage!
From NG+ onwards there are 2x Suspicious Shadows in the room with the Flexile Sentry. It is recommend to have at least 1 summon to help you take them out. Take out the smaller minions before fighting the boss. Attack them in between the bosses attacks, he doesn't have any new tricks and so he should be fairly easy if you're a competent dodger. ( I used lightning spear with a faith build and i could ane shot the pocket-size minions, cracking fireball and firestorm were too effective for taking the small minions out)
    • For fighting Spiked Club side only:
The room is a box with a column in the middle.During the fight the room is filling with water. The h2o rises enough to slow down movements so it's all-time to finish the fight every bit apace as possible. Use the column to avoid his jump attack/regular attacks and then motion in to attack during his downtime. His downtime doesn't last long so 1 hitting is boilerplate. During the attack pattern where he thrusts his maces into the ground you can get two attacks in before he starts up again,
    • NG+ Melee merely strat:
Equipment: 3rd dragon ring, chloranthy ring +1, former sun band, optional -- espada ropera +10 / mirrah greatsword +10 // whatever 100% phys damage block shield simply I used an unupgraded king's shield
When you enter the room immediately lock on to boss and begin strafing to the right. Go along the boss in your vision at all times and keep the wooden support beam inbetween the both of you, this mode if he lunges information technology volition limit his move. Use the mirrah greatsword so you take a horizontal assail, and as before long as one of the adds jump on you lot striking them quickly, there is a slight delay before their attack. If you end up taking a hit, the old sunday ring should buy yous a bit of time to reposition and/or estus. Once the adds are down, get to the spiked club side of the boss and circle his right side. switch to the thrusting sword and wail abroad, 2-3 attacks later he swings. If you end upwards taking a hit purchase yourself space by putting the back up beam in the center of the room between you and the boss. He should become down quickly and with ease.
  • You NEED high DPS for this fight. Those two Suspicious Shadow enemies that testify up in NG+ and beyond volition pressure you lot. Dual lightning Berserker Blades are a good option. Dual Lightning Espada Roperas are also good, forth with
  • This is a high-pressure fight. That ways you NEED a weapon(s) with the shortest attack animations possible, but with decent achieve so y'all don't have to walk earlier attacking.
  • You volition have more than time than yous retrieve on NG+7 and CoC. So take the necessary time to kill the two enemies that driblet from the ceiling, then focus on the Sentry.
  • The Spinous Order half of the Sentry has many more than openings for punishment than the Sabre half of the Sentry. Dart to proceed to that side, and hitting on the sides of the Lookout works nice, too.
  • For endgame, you wanna practise about 900 impairment per set on if you wanna survive comfortably. I was pacing well with 550 (Lightning Greatsword +ten) just with dual Berserker Blades +10, 1 Magic and one Lightning, I was doing 900 per attack and it was working fine. Dual Lightning infusions would have yet worked amend, though.
  • Please find clearance and the right boss blitheness for using Estus. Flexile is highly pressurizing and it is very easy to exist striking while using Estus. Like to Gwyn, you tin use the surroundings to space yourself from him. The wooden pillar in the middle of the room is pretty expert at getting the Flexile Sentry stuck, so feel free to use it to requite yourself time to heal.
  • For endgame, don't worry about the water. It takes a LONG fourth dimension before it fills up to kill you lot, and you don't lose i-frames on roll, so if your curl is sixteen i-frames, then you've got aught to worry well-nigh. I made the mistake of trying to speedrun the fight by trying to punish every set on, just I ended up dying. Afterward giving upward on that, I was breast-deep in water on my successful attempt, and this was NG+7 with the Company of Champions activated.

Notes

  • Weakness: Lightning
  • Fast roll to win!
  • Using Scraps of Life on the decks higher up the boss fight surface area near the mast tin can damage the assassins that appear alongside the boss on NG+ putting them on minimal health, seemed to have no issue on the boss for me but results may vary, other AoE spells may produce similar results.
  • Wooden pillar in the heart of the boss surface area can block most of his attacks.
  • Due to the h2o in the arena, as well as the size of the Flexile Sentry,Heavenly Thunder is extremely effective at reducing its health--even more so than Lightning Spear. The key pillar may exist used every bit cover to cast the spell.
